BDO announces new Managing Partner in the Czech Republic

13 January 2020

Prague, 13th January 2020: BDO has announced the appointment of a new Managing Partner in the Czech Republic. Miroslav Jandečka, former Managing Partner of Moore Stephens, will lead the firm effective 1 January 2020.

Miroslav Jandečka has built up extensive experience and has gained a lot of respect, managing and expanding a consulting firm for the past 25 years.  He founded his own practice in 1995, gradually expanding in the region and establishing new offices.  In 2007, the firm joined the Moore Stephens network.  Under the leadership of Miroslav, Moore Stephens grew to a firm of +250 professionals. Apart from his recognised leadership skills, Miroslav also has in-depth expertise in international corporate tax, taxation of capital acquisition, complex business strategies and general transaction advisory.

Former CEO Petr Slavicek will fully support Miroslav as a new Board chairmen during the transition, and both will continue to work together on various areas of the company’s management.  In addition Petr will focus on the financial audit service line.

One firm

The change is a part of the restructuring changes BDO Czech Republic is going through. In October 2019 BDO announced merger of its existing Audit and IT Advisory practices with Moore Stephens.

By incorporating the different services in one solidified firm, BDO aspires to become a strong and sustainable firm, providing a wide range of expertise. Thanks to a highly professional team of more than 400 professionals, out of which 35 are certified tax advisors and more than 20 are certified auditors and a strong presence in the regions, clients will receive professional advice throughout the Czech Republic.

“To become one firm is my commitment to our employees. We want BDO to be the best place for them to pursue their professional career. And together, we want to be more than just a leader in accounting and consulting. I personally believe that as one strong BDO, we will be a durable place of trust, both to our employees and clients. And that mutual trust will be the way forward, helping our clients and people grow and achieve their dreams,” says Miroslav Jandečka, new Managing Partner of BDO Czech Republic.

Former BDO´s Advisory, Tax, Accounting & Payroll and Appraisal practices are no longer members of BDO Czech Republic.
