BDO is committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of our business. That is why we have established a whistleblower protection program that allows for confidential reporting of illegal or unethical conduct.

BDO builds its business on mutual trust with customers, business partners and employees. The Ethics Hotline is a whistleblower protection tool that enables confidential reporting of suspected illegal or unethical conduct.

  • employees of our company, including former employees or applicants for employment at BDO
  • self-employed persons acting as contractors or bidding for a BDO contract
  • partners and members of our company bodies
  • any other persons with a direct or indirect connection to our company

We encourage anyone who believes they have witnessed illegal or unethical conduct to use the Ethics Hotline to ensure a transparent and ethical work environment.

  • a felony (including theft or fraud) or misdemeanour
  • violation of BDO policies or procedures
  • Bullying, harassment, discrimination or substance abuse
  • Violations of privacy and data protection policies, network and information systems security
  • threat to the health or safety of persons
  • damage to the environment
  • failure to comply with other legal obligations
  • attempts to suppress or conceal any information relating to the above

The receipt, administration and impartial investigation of concerns is carried out by the compliance team of BDO Group s.r.o. with registered office at V parku 2316/12, Chodov, 148 00 Prague 4, IČO 08639060 ("BDO").

Based on the information obtained, BDO will assess whether the concern is justified. It shall describe its conclusions and include them in the file. The conclusions of the assessment will be communicated in an anonymised form to the responsible persons at BDO, together with any suggestions for correcting the identified deficiencies or mitigating the identified risks.

The notifier will be informed of the outcome of the investigation within 30 days of the notification. In complex cases, this period may be extended by 30 days, up to a maximum of twice. The notifier will be informed of any extension.

The notifier may be informed of the outcome of the investigation in two ways:

  • Anonymously, using a unique code, if you use our Ethics Line to file a report.
  • Directly, if you choose another method of concern (email, phone) and leave us your contact details

As a whistleblower, you can choose to report your suspicions anonymously. If you choose to disclose your identity to us, BDO will not disclose your identity to anyone other than the relevant investigators or disclose any information from which your identity could be inferred without your express consent.

All data communicated through the Ethics Line is secured against misuse, properly archived and stored in accordance with legal obligations for the protection of personal data (EU Regulation 2016/679 - GDPR).
